Workshops
The Kinetic Integrations Exercise Professional (KIEP) Workshops helps participants to better understand how the body operates and moves. The methodologies of KIEP focus on movement and movement dysfunction, particularly those dysfunctions associated with injury or pain. People suffering from injuries or painful movement frequently adapt their movement to avoid uncomfortable sensations. These modified movements—or, dysfunctions—are both problematic and destructive to normal movement and long-term health. The KIEP workshops help participants to better recognize and correct movement dysfunctions, helping their clients to resume or exceed their functional movement goals.
Workshop 1: Foundations to KIEP Methodology, Balance and Posture
This first workshop offers a great foundation to the science and practical application on how to get people exercising after they sustained an injury or if they want to start exercising after a sedentary lifestyle. Improper movement patterns, referred to as movement dysfunctions stand in their way to regain or exceed full function. The concept of the human body as an interconnected kinetic chain - as the head bone is connected to the neck bone and so on - will be studied and practiced.

Workshop 3: How To Resolve Shoulder Problems
This advanced workshop focuses on shoulder pain and how it connects to the rest of the body through the trunk. Basic anatomical, kinesiology and biomechanics will be discussed related to the shoulder. The concept of muscle stabilizer and mobilizer functions related to the upper extremity will be explored. Science and practical application on how to resolve movement dysfunctions associated with shoulder pain will be discussed and practiced.
